A track and field official died in a Wroclaw, Poland, hospital one day after being struck in the head by a hammer thrown during an international students’ meet, the official Polish news agency Pap reported.
Krzysztof Szczesny, 27, was hit by a hammer thrown by a Czech athlete during warmups for a meet at the Wroclaw Academy of Physical Education, Pap reported.
