An Avon health-care unit is cutting its work force.
Foster Home Health Care of Conshohocken, Pa., will eliminate 300 positions, or about 8% of its 3,600-person work force, as a consequence of automating its claims processing. Previously handled in one office, such work has been transferred to regional offices established last year, the company said.
