Three of the nine Supreme Court justices are millionaires, and all but Justice Thurgood Marshall have assets worth at least $50,000, according to financial disclosure reports. Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr., the high court’s richest member, listed assets valued between $3.2 million and $6.5 million. Chief Justice Warren E. Burger and Justice Sandra Day O’Connor appeared to maintain their status as the court’s other millionaires. On the other end of the court’s financial spectrum, Marshall listed a single asset--a savings and loan account worth between $15,000 and $50,000.
