518 Buddhist Monks and Nuns Take Vows

Buddhist monks and nuns took vows in record numbers this month at a 1,500-year-old temple in Nanking, the official news agency said Friday. The ceremony, involving 518 monks and nuns, was the largest such event in 37 years of communist rule.
