The auto maker once again blamed the rapid appreciation of the Japanese yen against the dollar for the increase, the third in less than six months. To recoup its rising costs, Honda increased prices an average of 2.3%, or $238, over the average established when it last hiked prices in March. Since December, when it first raised prices in response to the strengthening yen, Honda’s sticker prices have risen by an average of $1,006, or about 10.2%.
