Richard Polanco, a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the Eastside’s 55th Assembly District, filed suit against rival Mike Hernandez in an effort to stop Hernandez from identifying himself in campaign literature as “the Democratic nominee for state Assembly.” Polanco, Hernandez and three others are competing for the Democratic nomination in the June 3 primary.
