Ambassador to Egypt Chosen

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan today nominated Frank G. Wisner, a veteran diplomat with experience in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as ambassador to Egypt, the White House announced.
If confirmed by the Senate, the 47-year-old Wisner, who has been serving as deputy assistant secretary of state for African affairs, will succeed Nicholas A. Veliotes, who retired April 1, in the key diplomatic post.
