Santa Fe Springs : Higher Council Salaries
The City Council last week approved an ordinance raising council salaries from $365.90 to $403.40 a month--effective after the 1988 city election.
Administrative Clerk Renee Carlson said an ordinance to approve a raise automatically goes to the council every two years after elections are held.
Before the April 8 election, council members were receiving $332.64 a month, which increased to $33.26 in mid-April as a result of City Council action two years ago.
