Executive Discovered Beaten to Death in Ransacked Apartment
The owner of a film distribution company was found beaten to death in his ransacked Hollywood apartment in what police say may have been a burglary attempt.
A friend discovered the body of Nicholas Spanos, owner of International Image Corp., on Wednesday.
Los Angeles Police Detective Russ Kuster said Thursday that Spanos, 40, had died at least three days before his partially clad body was found in the living room of his Hawthorne Avenue apartment. The detective said Spanos, who had not been seen by friends for several days, was beaten over his entire body and that the apartment had been ransacked.
