There’s an attempt to dress up this concert video by including a brief interview with Stewart and short performance clips from his days with Jeff Beck Group and the Faces, but it’s mostly a routine account of the British rocker’s routine concert at San Diego Sports Arena during his routine 1984 tour--and Stewart in recent years has been far from the compelling vocal interpreter and engaging performer that he was earlier in his career. One of the only things that isn’t routine in this concert is his manner. Alas, that’s overblown.
