The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will wrap up its season of Forum Luncheons Wednesday at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel in Universal City. The speaker will be Richard C. Gallop, president and chief operating officer of Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. ATAS president Richard Frank will preside.

Meanwhile, Frank has named Robert A. Harris as chairman of the academy’s new drug and alcohol abuse steering committee. The committee is to determine how the TV academy and the industry can fight the growing problems of drug and alcohol abuse.

The committee was formed after Frank and other academy leaders met with Los Angeles Police Chief Darryl Gates who discussed with them how the problem is escalating.
