Mahony Battle on Pornography

I welcome Archbishop Mahony’s plan to fight pornography in Los Angeles County. As a Los Angeles County Supervisor, I have been working with the County’s Commission on Women to restrict pornographic material that degrades women, destroys the moral fiber of the community, and can lead to violence and exploitation.
Our churches, synagogues, schools, and homes must unite in condemning this evil and in promoting family life. Archbishop Mahony’s determination to speak out on this issue should be welcomed by every citizen.
