DENVER —
An anti-abortion leader was arrested Thursday on a Florida warrant as he checked into a hotel to attend the National Right to Life Committee convention, police said.
Joseph M. Scheidler, director of the Pro-Life Action League, was arrested on charges stemming from a March 26 demonstration at an abortion clinic in Pensacola, in which four protesters broke into the building, authorities said. The warrant accuses Scheidler of conspiracy to commit a criminal act.
