Valley Schools : High Test Scores Rewarded

Monrovia High School has been selected as one of 30 high schools in the state to receive the Distinguished School Award given by the state Department of Education to schools that have shown improvement in test scores over the past two years and growth in the number of advanced-placement courses. Jones Junior High School in Baldwin Park was one of 60 middle schools receiving the award. Foothills Junior High in Arcadia and South Pasadena Junior High were among the 40 runners-up in the middle school category.
