A Vista woman was killed shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday after she lost control of her car while driving east on California 78 in Oceanside near El Camino Real.
Marie Concetta Fallone’s Mercedes apparently swerved out of the fast lane and onto the right shoulder, struck the berm and swerved back onto the freeway, where the car overturned, police said. Fallone, 58, was thrown through the windshield and died immediately, authorities said.
Fallone was driving within the speed limit, police said.
