Nicky Carrizales, the 3-year-old “Baby Nicky” from San Antonio who underwent two heart transplants and another operation to relieve stress on his new heart, remained in critical condition at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Meantime, the parents of Baby Jesse, another heart transplant recipient, were joined in a hospital visit to see their son by Frank Clemenshaw, 22, and Deborah Walters, 33, of Grand Rapids, Mich., who gave the heart of their brain-dead son to save Jesse’s life. Jesse was reported doing well.
