Monrovia : Business License Fee Hiked
The Monrovia City Council has voted to increase the business license fee from $115.50 to $121 a year. The fee has stayed the same since 1982 although the city’s business license ordinance contains a formula for calculating adjustments in the fee based on the consumer price index. The formula calls for a 10% fee increase in 1986-87, but the council instead voted for a 5% hike.
