MOVING RIGHT ALONG: Rhino Records is getting into the movie business. The offbeat, L.A.-based label has formed Rhino Films, which will generate feature film production. The company has just signed a one-picture development deal with New World Pictures, who’ll produce a film based on the saga of Big Daddy, the band that performs current hits in ‘50s and ‘60s fashion (they claim they were held captive for 24 years by Laotian rebels). The movie’s working title is “Stranded in the Jungle.” . . . And the Starship has been named the first national spokesgroup for the National Network of Runaway and Youth Services. The group is a nonprofit, Washington-based organization made up of more than 600 shelters providing services to troubled youths. The Starship, which is embarking on a 50-city summer tour this month, will visit local shelters, provide youths with free concert tickets and announce local hot-line telephone numbers during each show.
