Jerry Hulse missed the boat, or should I say the hotel. No way can you list the best small hotels in San Francisco (June 15) and leave the York off the list. Having just returned from a stay at that attractive and comfortable hotel, I can vouch for its inviting warmth and unusual staff and service. The (free) continental breakfast is the best I’ve had anywhere (fresh-squeezed orange juice!). And a real stretch limo takes you (free) to all the inner city. And the Plush Room had Michael Feinstein, who is just wonderful.
