U.S. Farmers will harvest 15% less winter wheat.
Farmers are harvesting a winter wheat crop estimated at 1.55 billion bushels, down 15% from last year’s harvest and 2% less than forecast a month ago, the Agriculture Department said. That would be the smallest total production since 1979, when 2.13 billion bushels were harvested.
