The long-distance light airplane Voyager passed the 10,000-mile mark on an endurance test flight intended to prepare it for a nonstop round-the-world flight. The flight, which began Thursday, is expected to end today, and a spokesman for the Voyager support group at its home airport of Mojave said the crew of two “is totally up and the airframe and mechanical parts of the plane are perfect.” If all continues to go well, pilot Dick Rutan, 46, and co-pilot Jeana Yeager, 32, said they expect to exceed the present closed-course distance record of 12,532 miles today.
