An all-white jury of seven men and seven women was selected for the trial of three former University of Minnesota basketball players charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old Madison, Wis., woman.
Kevin Smith, 21, of Lansing, Mich., Mitchell Lee, 21, of Carol City, Fla., and George Williams, Jr., 20, of Oakland, are charged with first-degree sexual assault, which carries a maximum of 20 years in prison. They are accused of sexually assaulting the woman at a Madison hotel Jan. 24, after their Gopher team played a game with Wisconsin.
