HERSCHENSOHN RETURNS TO RADIO AND TV; FRANKLIN ADDS RADIO

Share

TV commentator Bruce Herschensohn, who in June lost his California primary bid for the U.S. Senate Republican nomination, will return to two political commentary jobs on Tuesday, replacing Murray Fromson’s morning spot on KABC radio as well as resuming his commentary on KABC-TV’s “Eyewitness News.”

Fromson had taken over Herschensohn’s commentary spot during “The Ken & Bob Co.” morning broadcast in January after Herschensohn left to concentrate on his political campaign.

But Fromson is “not through with KABC,” according to KABC radio spokeswoman Shelley Wagner, who said he has been asked to continue as an occasional guest host on Michael Jackson’s radio program.

Meanwhile, entertainment critic Gary Franklin, who joined KABC-TV Channel 7 earlier this year, will also contribute to KABC radio, beginning Monday.

Franklin, who previously worked for KCBS-TV Channel 2, will become a contributor to KABC radio’s early-morning “Ken & Bob Co.” show.

He will be heard weekdays at 8:35 a.m. with reviews of movies, plays, TV programs and other entertainment fare.
