Public response to an article by staff writer Gerald Faris (Times, June 15), featuring the Arts Council of Torrance has been very favorable and indicates excellent readership of the South Bay section. I continue to get many comments about it.
I can’t tell you how much this means to members and friends of our new organization. I feel that it demonstrates how a metropolitan newspaper can be sensitive to its communities and a positive force for improving life styles.
On behalf of our members, thanks so much for the superb article. It is the best evidence that The Times is supporting our efforts to create a healthy cultural climate here.
