Insensitive Parody
Concerning the story “Radio Station’s Song Parody on Illegal Aliens Falls Flat” (July 2) about KS-103’s song parody on illegal aliens, I wish to say I was appalled to read about their foolishness.
I consider myself a good-natured person with a well-rounded sense of humor and can easily laugh at any pun, in good taste, ethnic or otherwise. But I must say KS-103 showed disgustingly insensitive taste in their so-called “cute commentary.”
I can only hope that the station officials realize the destructive consequences in Mexican-American relations their thoughtlessness has caused. Already, from the responses coming from the Latin communities, we can see that damage has been done.
Let us hope KS-103 will learn from this blunder and wake up.
