Arthur G. Beggs has received Cal Poly Pomona’s 1986 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Environmental Design, in recognition of his significant contributions to his profession. Beggs is a principal with the Peridian Group in Irvine, and his work includes large-scale resort, residential and commercial projects.

James J. Maginn has joined Watt Industries Inc., Santa Monica, as vice president and chief financial officer. He was an executive with California First Bank from 1971 to 1986, most recently serving as vice president and manager for corporate banking for Northern California; he previously established the bank’s Tokyo branch.

Richard T. Deihl has been named vice president and general counsel for the Lusk Co., Irvine. Deihl joined the firm in 1978 as associate general counsel and served as general counsel and head of the company’s legal department for the past six years. He will continue with these duties as vice president.

Victoria Carlson has been promoted to vice president of operations for McKellar Development of La Jolla. With the company since 1981, Carlson’s responsibilities include personnel management, project coordination and administrative aspects of residential and commercial land purchases and sales.

Enrique (Henry) Torres, production head for the past three years at Intradesign, Los Angeles, has been named a senior associate in the firm.

Daniel A. Nahabedian, formerly with Equidon Contractors in Irvine, has joined the Richardson Group, Orange, to fill the newly created position of director of marketing.

Robert B. White has been appointed regional vice president and director of property management for Southern California at Oxford Management Co., Encino and Oceanside.

Will Daniel has joined IDM’s Assets Management Division, Long Beach, as a residential property manager of rental properties in Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange counties.

Lawrence A. Crosson has been promoted to corporate vice president of marketing for the Irvine Consulting Group Inc., El Toro. Dennis E. Lyerla has been appointed vice president of business development for Irvine Soils Engineering Inc., Irvine, a subsidiary.
