A judge ordered the turnover of Sgt. York papers.

U.S. District Judge Ferdinand Fernandez ordered the government to give General Dynamics documents on its competitor’s handling of bidding for the anti-aircraft gun. The ruling came in a suit by St. Louis-based General Dynamics, which a federal grand jury has indicted on charges of overcharging the government for work on a prototype of the Sgt. York gun. General Dynamics sought the bidding documents of Ford Aerospace & Communications of Orange County, arguing that its bidding had been “highly unusual, if not unique.”
