Adult magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse will remain available for sale to military personnel despite reservations expressed about such publications by the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography, a Pentagon spokesman said. When displayed at military PX (post exchange) and commissary stores, however, the front covers of adult magazines are masked with brown paper except for the magazine title and the magazines are placed high in racks out of reach of children, he said.
