Malibu : Hearing on Sewer System

Share

The county Department of Public Works has scheduled a hearing Aug. 5 at Malibu Park Junior High School on a consultant’s report covering the environmental impact of a proposed regional sewer system.

The hearing will begin in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m. with a brief presentation on the consultant’s findings, preceding public comment, which will be limited to three minutes per person, until 10:30 p.m. The school is at 30215 Morning View Drive.

The consultant, James M. Montgomery Consulting Engineers, has recommended construction of a $38-million sewage treatment plant in Corral Canyon and a two-part pipeline system that would avoid the stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in the Big Rock landslide area.
