Mid-Wilshire Rapist Sentenced

A paroled killer from New York City, the so-called “Security Building Rapist,” was sentenced today to 65 years in state prison for sexual and non-sexual assaults on 17 young women and girls in the mid-Wilshire area.
“The manner of the defendant’s sexual abuse in this case is every child’s and every parent’s nightmare,” Superior Court Judge Robert Altman said in imposing sentence on Ronald S. Melvin, 28.
