Lasorda Isn’t Having Such a Good Year, Either
- Share via
It seems about time that Dodger fans realize that injuries, errors, poor hitting and relief pitching are not the only reasons for their demise. Tommy Lasorda is having a bad managerial year, no question about it. For example, on July 11 against the Cubs, trailing 2-0, Lasorda has Brock pinch-hit for Honeycutt even though Honeycutt has been pitching well for five innings. Result: A strikeout and double play. Succeeding pitchers fail to stem the tide, and the Dodgers lose, 6-3.
How many other feats of Lasorda strategy have ended the same way? Plenty. I think Tommy should share the blame.
