Economic Figure Delayed

WASHINGTON —
Release of the government’s June barometer of future economic activity, the composite index of leading indicators, was postponed today until Friday to give Commerce Department analysts time to double-check the accuracy of late data, officials said. The report is widely expected to bear unpleasant news.
