NCAA investigators have accused Iowa State University of making illegal cash payments and loans to basketball and football players and of providing free airline tickets to athletes and their parents, according to documents released by the school.
The letters listed 34 allegations against the school’s football program and 10 against its basketball program. School officials said they plan to respond to the basketball charges by September but have asked for more time to study the football charges.
