SDSU Basketball Schedule Is Set

The San Diego State men’s basketball team will play 16 home games at the Sports Arena next season, Athletic Director Fred Miller announced Thursday.

Among the home opponents will be Texas El Paso and Arizona, teams that qualified for the NCAA playoffs last season.

SDSU opens its season with an exhibition game Nov. 25 against Athletes in Action in Peterson Gym.

Dec. 1--at UC Santa Barbara; 4-Arizona; 11--University of San Diego; 13--Cal State Los Angeles; 19-20--at Volunteer Tournament (SDSU, Ball State, UNC-Charlotte, Tennessee); 22--at Memphis State; 27-28--Holiday Bowl Tournament (SDSU, Arizona State, Mississippi, Manhattan); 29--Northern Iowa.

Jan. 3--New Mexico; 5--Texas El Paso; 8--at Air Force; 10--at Colorado State; 15--at Brigham Young; 17--at Utah; 22--Wyoming; 26--at Hawaii; 29--United States International University; 31--Miami.

Feb. 5--Colorado State; 7--Air Force; 13--at Texas El Paso; 14--at New Mexico; 19--at Wyoming; 21--Hawaii; 26--Brigham Young; 28--Utah.

March 3-7--Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Albuquerque, N.M.
