Anaheim : Motorcyclist in Critical Condition After Crash
An Anaheim motorcylist was critically injured Thursday when he drove into a car broadside while it was making a left turn, Anaheim police said.
George E. Covey, 23, was driving at an extremely high speed on Katella Avenue before the accident occurred about 10 a.m., Lt. Marc Hedgpeth said.
The motorcycle struck a sedan which was making a left turn from Katella Avenue into a driveway. The driver, Patel Ramanbha Navanvi, 50, of Anaheim, was not injured, Hedgpeth said.
Covey, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to UCI Medical Center where he was in critical condition. Hedgpeth said Covey was reported to be clinically brain-dead.
