More than 175,000 people are expected to view the San Diego Museum of Art exhibit, “Dr. Seuss From Then to Now,” before it closes Aug. 17 and goes on a seven-city national tour.

It is expected that 2 million people ultimately will see the comprehensive retrospective exhibition of 300 drawings, illustrations, early political cartoons, books and other materials from the 60-year career of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Theodor Seuss Geisel.

Curated by the museum’s Mary Stofflet, the show will visit Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Pittsburgh; Dallas; New York; Tampa; Baltimore, and New Orleans.
