A former Long Beach Naval Shipyard worker has been indicted on charges that he lied to collect compensation benefits while working full time for Rockwell International in Anaheim. The four-count indictment by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles accuses Christopher Gollnick, 36, of Riverside County of falsely claiming to U.S. Labor Department officials that he was 100% disabled from injuries suffered at the shipyard and was unemployed at various times between 1983 and this year. Assistant U.S. Atty. Brian J. Hennigan said more indictments alleging worker’s compensation irregularities are expected.
