School for Latin Soldiers to Remain at Ft. Benning

WASHINGTON —
The Army announced Wednesday that it has selected Ft. Benning, Ga., as the permanent home of the School of the Americas. The school, which provides military training to Latin American soldiers, has operated at Ft. Benning on a temporary basis since it was moved from Panama in 1984 to comply with terms of the Panama Canal Treaty.
