A woman from California and her infant daughter were found dead in their camping trailer, West German police reported. Police said the woman, identified as a 38-year-old teacher from San Francisco, and her 18-month-old daughter suffocated in their sleep at a campsite outside Munich in southern West Germany. Police said the windows and doors of the camper were shut and that a gas-driven refrigerator had worked through the night. The victims’ names were withheld pending notification of relatives.
