Afghan guerrillas have stepped up their attacks on Kabul, the Afghan capital, hitting the Soviet and Polish embassies with rockets, Western diplomats said in Islamabad, Pakistan. They also said Soviet helicopter gunships have been seen heading south of Kabul, suggesting that intense fighting is continuing in Logar province.
