Cerritos : Public Transit Study

Share

A Costa Mesa-based company has been hired by the city to study its public transit needs. The City Council agreed to pay SR Associates $20,761 to survey residents and recommend whether the city needs a bus or transit system.

The city has about $1 million in Prop. A money, funds generated by a half-cent sales tax approved by county voters. The money, which only can be used for public transportation, is divided among the county’s 82 cities. Although Cerritos does not operate its own transit system, several regional bus lines serve the city.
