Carlsbad
A 38-year-old man died late Tuesday when his car was involved in a head-on collision on Rancho Santa Fe Road in Carlsbad.
Perry William Miller of Carlsbad was driving south near Cadencia Street shortly after 11 p.m. when his car crossed the center line and collided with a northbound car driven by George Parkins Jr., 74, sheriff’s deputies said.
Life Flight paramedics pronounced Miller dead at the scene. Parkins and his wife, Lynne, 72, were both listed in fair condition Wednesday night at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
