Attempted murder and kidnaping charges have been filed against two people who allegedly beat and bound a 22-year-old Carson woman, leaving her for dead in the Mojave Desert. Charged by the district attorney’s office were Henry McKay, 36, who was arrested Friday, and Delores Martinez, 31, who was still at large Wednesday. The victim, Barbara Ann Howell, told authorities she chewed her way out of a plastic trash bag in which she had been dumped in a remote area west of Lancaster last week. Although she suffered skull fractures, cuts and bruises, she was still able to untie herself and walk a short distance to alert a passing motorist. Howell was543255660tied with a rope after an argument with Martinez in front of McKay’s Carson home.
