“We left 13 runners on base and we couldn’t get the key hit,” Encino Coach Ron McMackin said. “But I don’t see any team out here that we can’t play with.”

Trailing, 5-3, in the bottom of the seventh, Encino’s Rex McMackin hit a leadoff single and was then forced at second by Jeff Cirillo. J. R. Trujillo then walked and Mike Stephenson singled, driving in Cirillo.

Greg Biley walked, and when John Haselbush forced him at second, Trujillo scored.

Third baseman McMackin was 3 for 5, including a double, and had three runs batted in.
