A Honduran air force C-130 transport plane carrying about 50 Honduran military men and some family members crashed in a remote region northeast of Tegucigalpa, the government radio station reported. Quoting air force sources, it said there were no known survivors. U.S. Embassy spokesman Arthur Skop said the four-engine turboprop belonged to the Honduran air force and was part of the U.S. military assistance program. “It was not a U.S. plane,” he said.
