WestAmerica will sell its trust business.

A preliminary agreement with Bank of California calls for WestAmerica to transfer its trust accounts and assets, as well as its San Rafael trust department facilities and personnel, to Bank of California in October. The two banks are to enter into a joint marketing agreement to develop trust business in Marin County and other WestAmerica markets. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
