Attorneys for the Philippine government added the brother of former First Lady Imelda Marcos and a one-time classmate of deposed President Ferdinand Marcos to a racketeering and fraud suit filed earlier against the Marcoses. Named in the amended suit are Benjamin (Kokoy) Romualdez, brother of Imelda Marcos who served as the ambassador to the United States from 1982 to 1986, and Roberto Benedicto, a former high school, college and law school classmate of Marcos who served in numerous government positions. The men, whose whereabouts are unknown, are accused of concealing fraudulently obtained assets in U.S. and Swiss banks.
