Local News in Brief : Candlelight Service for Finn to Be Held Tonight in Sunland
Acandlelight service has been scheduled tonight in Sunland in memory of Los Angeles City Councilman Howard Finn, who died last week.
Organizers said members of the community will gather with candles or flashlights at 7 p.m. at Sunland Park, 8651 Foothill Blvd.
Finn, 68, died Aug. 12 of a ruptured aorta hours after being stricken with chest pains while conducting a meeting of the City Council’s Planning and Environment Committee. He had represented the northeast San Fernando Valley since 1981.
