Glendora : Trash Fee to Go Up 90 Cents
The city has announced that monthly charges for trash collection will go up 90 cents in September, increasing the bills for single-family residences from $5.75 to $6.65. Keene Wilson, assistant to the city manager, said the higher rate will pay for a rate increase granted to City Refuse Service, a West Covina-based firm that contracts with Glendora for trash pickup. Wilson said the city finance director originally had recommended that monthly charges rise by $1, but the City Council approved only a 90-cent increase at its meeting this week.
