49ers to Play Georgetown

The Cal State Long Beach men’s basketball team has added Georgetown to its schedule and will play the Hoyas, the 1984 NCAA champion, Dec. 30 at the Long Beach Arena.

Changes at Biola

Biola University has named Dr. Dave Holmquist, co-coach of the men’s basketball team, as men’s athletic director. Dr. Connie Throneberry Sarver has been appointed interim women’s volleyball coach and Dianne G. Smith has been appointed athletic trainer.

Best of Body Builders

Anthony Mendez, 26, a barber, was the men’s overall winner in the Commerce Muscle Classic last Sunday. Mendez also won as best poser and most muscular. Michael Chavez, a football player at Rio Hondo College, was the winner in the teen-age division.
